Volunteer Opportunities
Feeding Area Children Together is a predominantly volunteer run organization. FACT Packs, FACT Pantry and FACT Break Boxes are paid for by individuals, organizations and business donations. Please contact us if you would like to hear more about our organization, to host a donation drive, volunteer at a Pack Night, or have ideas on how we can partner together to help feed children in our community. We love to talk to groups!
Food Fairy Team
Weekly FACT Pack Distribution at Discovery, Madison, Talahi, Lincoln, & North Junior High in St. Cloud ISD742 or Pleasantview and Rice Elementary in Sauk Rapids/Rice ISD47 schools.
Food Fairy Team
Our Food Fairy Team places FACT Packs into backpacks while students are away from their classrooms on Fridays or the last day of school for the week. We distribute three times the week before winter and mid-winter break. A weekly commitment is not necessary but we request a set schedule.
Thursdays: Deliver totes to schools and/or classrooms at Discovery, Madison, or Talahi Elementary schools in St. Cloud or Pleasantview Elementary in Sauk Rapids.
Fridays: Place FACT Packs into backpacks at Discovery, Madison, or Talahi Elementary schools in St. Cloud or Pleasantview Elementary in Sauk Rapids.
**All school volunteers must have a background check on file with ISD742. It’s free.
Join our FACT Pack Event Crew
Our FACT Pack-ing Events are fun, educational, and take a lot of coordination. Would you like to help prepare for a pack, as a pack leader during the pack or post-pack inventory? Email us at info@stcloudfact.org
Some of the opportunities:
- Loading and Unloading – the ability to lift 20+ pounds, manage steps and uneven surfaces
- Oversee the packing process during events – held either during the day or evening
- Inventory – Counting inventory both before and after each pack event
